How does HCD wellness programming work?
HCD Community Appraisal: Potential community projects are appraised initially through interviews with stakeholders to determine population dynamics and gauge the community’s current wellness culture.
Consultant Client Proposal: Constructed from the appraisal, this proposal describes the goals, steps, time, and fees to perform the gap evaluation, create the custom wellness resource network design, and produce a report that outlines the implementation of the network in the community.
Resource Gap Evaluation: Available community resources are matched against a Wellness Resource Network template to find the resource gaps that must be recruited and integrated to customize a network that meets the community needs to promote physical activity participation and to embrace wellness as a culture.
Wellness Network Design: Details for the design of a Wellness Resource Network are constructed for each of the seven core network components.
Wellness Network Report: Submitted to the community client outlining the wellness resource network design for that community, the current resources available, the resources to be recruited with recommendations, a budget to build the network, and projected utilization of the network for physical activity participation.
HCD upon request by the community client will provide Consultant Members for wellness resource network building, implementation, and management.
